ABOUT

Eugene Pupak

Artist  /  Designer  /  Art Director

As a visual and creative problem solver — Eugene combines a keen eye for design, strong aesthetic intuition and fine art roots with extensive experience conceptualizing and executing innovative and impactful creative solutions that support brand and marketing objectives in multichannel environment for clients across a range of industries.

Born and raised in the heart of Europe, Eugene loved to draw from the time he could hold a crayon. His parents and teachers quickly noted his artistic inclination, as he excelled in art and other creative endeavors both at school and in his extracurricular activities. After coming to the United States in 1991, Eugene studied Visual Communications at SUNY Farmingdale in New York, focusing his work in Advertising Art and Design.

Following an internship at Newsday, Eugene was hired full-time and worked as a designer and illustrator in the company’s Editorial Art and Promotion departments.

While there, his work was featured on many covers and editorial sections of the publication. He worked on several high-profile projects, producing a series of custom commemorative artworks for the extremely successful “Long Island: Our Story” media campaign. He also developed the concept for Newsday’s successful cable and network TV commercial, which generated unparalleled revenue for the company.

For over 15 years, Eugene led creative efforts for multimedia campaigns and promotions as Art Director for the American Management Association in New York City. During his career he won a number of advertising industry awards, including BOLI Best Consumer Advertising Campaign, NCMAA Best Advertising Campaign, and Bare Bones International Film Festival’s Best Movie Poster.

In his spare time, Eugene enjoys working as a freelance artist and designer, being active outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends.
